CHOOSING A BOARD: Board size depends on your intended use, your size, and weight.

GENERAL RULE OF THUMB : small person, small board - big person big board

EXCEPTIONS
1. If you are a big person, have great balance and want to surf, you can go with a small board like a 10'6
2. If you are a small person and have no intention of surfing and just want to paddle you should go with a bigger stable board like a 12'.
3. Children or very light adults should go with the 10'.

EXAMPLES: Laird rides the 10’6 for paddle surfing. Laird rides the 12’ when he goes for a long flat water paddle.

Tips: First decide if you want to paddle flat water or ride waves then based on your size and weight determine which board is best for you. The bigger the board the more stability you will have but keep in mind the bigger the board the less easy it is to maneuver.
